As you are aware, a key initiative this year has been to ensure the integrity of our book of business with regards to Excess Medical PIP coverage.  We appreciate your support as we continue to validate eligibility of this PIP option.

It came to our attention the Full Medical and Excess Work Loss option was not available to Collector Cars (Classic, Antique and Street Rod).  As such, there were a small number of policies where either

1)      the Private Passenger vehicles renewed with Full Medical and Excess Work Loss while the Collector Cars renewed with Excess Medical and Excess Work Loss, or

2)      the policy only had Collector Cars and no conversion was done.

To alleviate these situations, we are making this PIP option available for Collector Cars.  This option will be available for Collector Cars effective 1/1/2014. 

For policies renewing on or after 1/1/2014, the Collector Cars will convert along with the Private Passenger vehicles.

For policies which renewed before 1/1/2014 where one of the above situations occurred, the insured will receive notification informing them the Collector Cars will be converted at the next renewal to the correct PIP option.
