Frankenmuth, Michigan – Frankenmuth Insurance, a super-regional carrier based in Frankenmuth, Michigan, is pleased to announce several updates to its Agency Council.

Frankenmuth Insurance formed its Agency Council in 2009 and selects high-caliber agents from across its operating regions to obtain valuable insights from the agency perspective to help shape the company’s strategy and long-term vision. Frankenmuth Insurance Agency Council members address issues of mutual strategic interest to help strengthen the company’s partnerships with its independent agencies.

Mark Holloway, of Ann Arbor, Michigan, assumed the role of Agency Council Chair during the fall meeting in November. Holloway succeeds Gretchen Hopp Doyle, of Harper Woods, Michigan. Hopp Doyle joined the Council in 2015 and was named Chair in 2020.

Frankenmuth Insurance Chief Executive Officer Fred Edmond shares, “Gretchen has been a valuable part of the Agency Council team for 10 years. We appreciate the impact she made, and we’re excited to welcome Mark as incoming Chair.”

Holloway is the President of Small Business for Hylant Group, Inc., which started as a family-owned business in 1935 and has grown into a full-service insurance brokerage with 20 offices in eight states. He has worked in the insurance industry for more than 35 years and joined the Agency Council in November 2023.

Andrew Ahlschwede of Frankenmuth, Michigan, and Craig Hassinger of Akron, Ohio, joined Agency Council and attended its fall meeting in November.

“Our council members are chosen for their unique skillsets, experience, and perspective within the insurance industry. We welcome their expertise and insight to the Agency Council,” Edmond adds.

Ahlschwede is the Vice President of Emil Rummel Agency, located in Frankenmuth, Michigan, which has served Michigan as a family-owned and operated company since 1950. He has worked in the industry for more than 23 years, joining Emil Rummel in 2012. Emil Rummel has three locations in Michigan and provides solutions for personal lines, farms, agribusiness, and small and large commercial insurance clients.

Hassinger is the CEO and President of SeibertKeck Insurance Partners, located in Akron, Ohio. He joined the insurance industry more than 35 years ago, starting in underwriting at Westfield. SeibertKeck Insurance Partners was founded in 1910 and has since grown into a community-focused insurance agency with 20 offices across Ohio, Kentucky, and Florida. The agency is committed to protecting families and businesses in the heart of Main Street America.
