Frankenmuth Insurance is pleased to announce that A.M. Best has affirmed the company’s Financial Strength Rating (FSR)* with “A” (Excellent). The Issuer Credit Rating (ICR) was also affirmed with an “A+.”

In addition, A.M. Best upgraded the outlook for both ratings from stable to positive, reflecting solid results over the past several years. This upgrade was a very welcome, but unexpected action.

The FSR is an independent third-party evaluation providing a valuable benchmark for comparing insurers. The “A” rating reflects A.M. Best’s opinion that Frankenmuth Insurance is in an excellent position to pay claims and protect policyholders. The ICR is A.M. Best’s opinion of the company’s credit worthiness and ability to meet senior financial obligations.

What does this mean for policyholders? Essentially, it means you can rest easy knowing that for almost 150 years, Frankenmuth Insurance has maintained its financial strength and will continue to do so for years to come. We hope that brings you peace of mind about the company you trust for your insurance needs.

*A.M. Best’s ratings represent its assessment of Frankenmuth Mutual Insurance Company and its property and casualty insurance subsidiaries: Ansur America Insurance Company, ASure Worldwide Insurance Company, Fortuity Insurance Company and Patriot Insurance Company.
