Earlier this year, Frankenmuth Insurance implemented Windstorm or Hail Deductibles in the State of Ohio for both Homeowners and Dwelling Fire Policies. To help your agency in selecting an appropriate Windstorm or Hail Deductible, we have made improvements to the iBIS screen.
As a reminder, a Homeowners or Dwelling Fire Policy with an All Peril Deductible Amount below $2,000 is required to have a Windstorm or Hail Deductible of $2,000 or higher. If an All Peril Deductible Amount of $2,000 is selected on the policy, you may either remove the deductible by unchecking the Windstorm or Hail Deductible or choose a limit higher but not equal to the All Peril Deductible.
The following are the new edit descriptions found in iBIS to help guide your agency when selecting the appropriate Windstorm or Hail Deductible.
We sincerely appreciate your continued support. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact your Personal Lines Underwriter or me.
