What do Bubba Watson, Bill Haas, Jason Duffner, Luke Donald, Lucas Glover and Camillo Villegas have in common with Statesboro, Georgia?  Well, just like Mark Calcavecchia, Andy Bean, Jay Haas, Curtis Strange, Scott Verplank, Jodie Mudd, Andy North, Gene Sauers, Hal Sutton and David Toms, they all competed as collegiate golfers in the prestigious Schenkel Invitational. 

The 2013 version of this celebrated college golf invitational will be held March 15 – 17 at Forest Heights Country Club in Statesboro, Georgia.

Another impressive field will compete in this year’s event.  In fact, 14 teams in the 15 team field are rated in the Golfweek top 100.  And, 10 teams in the field are in the top 50 with three sporting a top 10 ranking.  Individually, more than a quarter of the top 50 Men’s College Golfers in the country will be competing this year’s Schenkel Invitational.

The tournament will also have a distinct Frankenmuth Insurance influence.  Its Tournament Director is our own Georgia Field Manager Wes Bruun.  Additionally, Frankenmuth Insurance is a 2013 tournament sponsor.
