We are pleased to announce that Debbie McDonnell has been promoted to Michigan Regional Director for Commercial Lines. Debbie started in her new role on Oct. 5. She previously served as Senior Field Manager for the Michigan Region, where she handled a Commercial Lines territory in southeastern Michigan.

In addition to supporting agencies in her territory, Debbie also contributed to many corporate efforts. Most recently, she participated in projects related to the company’s launch of a new policy system, which went live in Michigan on Sept. 21 and supports our efforts to provide enhanced products and services for our agency partners.  She may also be a familiar face from Commercial Lines training classes attended by many producers.

Debbie holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Michigan State University and has earned several industry designations and certificates during her career. She earned her Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation in 1991, Certificate in Supervisory Management in 1993, Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation in 2015, Associate in Risk Management (ARM) designation in 2016 and Associate in Reinsurance (ARe) designation earlier this year.

Debbie lives in Northville and has an adult son, Sean. In addition to spending time with her son, she enjoys working out, reading and recently took up two new sports – biking and tennis – during the COVID-19 pandemic.
