Frankenmuth Insurance is pleased to announce that Rich Schumacher has been named the new Director of the Midwest Region.

With 28 years of insurance experience in Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio and Wisconsin, some of our agents may know Rich from his previous roles at Harleysville/Nationwide Insurance. He joined the company on Nov. 9 after 14 years with Harleysville/Nationwide Insurance where he served most recently as associate vice president of sales.

Rich is a graduate of Miami University of Ohio with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. He is currently working on his Certified Insurance Counselor designation with 3 of 5 parts completed. He lives in La Grange, Ill., with his wife, Lisa, and their two sons. In his spare time, he enjoys coaching his boys in baseball and ice hockey and occasionally playing a round of golf.
