South Carolina recently clarified notification requirements for nonpayment cancellations for workers compensation policies.

To align with state requirements, Frankenmuth Insurance will be decreasing the notification period from 30 days to 10 days before the cancellation effective date. This change becomes effective for Frankenmuth Insurance policyholders on November 22, 2021.

Additionally, the South Carolina Cancellation and Nonrenewal Endorsement, WC 39 06 01, was created to provide clarity around cancellation and nonrenewal requirements and we will begin adding this form to our policies effective February 1, 2022.
