Dear Agency Partners:

It is with heavy hearts we share the news that Laurie Caputo, our northern Ohio Commercial Lines Field Manager and friend, passed away on August 1, 2022.

Laurie joined Frankenmuth Insurance in September of 2006 as a Field Manager for Ohio and Kentucky and was promoted to Senior Field Manager in 2013 for our northern Ohio territory. During her tenure, Laurie utilized her skills and experiences from being on the independent agency side of the business for over 10 years to help build out her northern Ohio territory. She was instrumental in growing this territory from $9.7 million in direct written premium to $19 million. She was passionate about doing the right thing and helping her agency partners grow. Laurie was a true professional, the ultimate teammate, and a caring friend.

Professionally, Laurie made significant investments in her development, earning the following designations: Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC), Certified Professional Insurance Woman (CPIW), and Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR). We are all very proud of her achievements and dedication and commitment to the insurance profession.

Personally, Laurie loved spending time with her family, traveling, playing golf, fishing, and bowling. Our prayers remain with Laurie’s husband, Mike, family, friends, and loved ones, as they mourn during this difficult time. If you wish to send your condolences, click here to access her obituary.

We will be dividing Laurie’s agency territory temporarily between the other two Ohio Field Managers, Don Ebding and Sara Staley. Between Don and Sara and your underwriters, you will continue to receive the same outstanding service you have come to expect from Frankenmuth Insurance and that you received from Laurie. We will begin sourcing a replacement soon.
