With the return of warm weather, your clients are likely already hitting the roads with their new or previously stored motorcycles. While we know how much enjoyment this activity brings, it is critically important to keep safety in mind. To follow is a brief outline regarding motorcycle eligibility for your use when adding these types of bikes to Frankenmuth Insurance auto policies:

Required and Optional Coverage’s:
Residual Bodily Injury and Residual property damage are required coverages, and they may not be deleted during the policy term. There are several optional coverages that can also be added including, Medical Expense (for motorcycle accidents only), Uninsured Motorists Coverage, Bodily Injury limits, Comprehensive and Collision.
NOTE: Coverage should not be seasonally removed.
With regard to Driver Eligibility, Ineligible Drivers include:

Operators whose license have been suspended or revoked in the last 3 years

3 or more moving violations in the last 5 years

2 or more moving violations in the last 3 years

Operators with 2 or more accidents in the past 12 months

Operators with less than 6 months of motorcycle driving experience for cycles of 550cc’s or more
