On 8/16/2013, changes will be introduced on the Policy Information Screen when quoting Home and Auto policies in iBIS.

How will this new feature work?

When Frankenmuth Mutual Insurance is selected in the Previous Carrier field, the Prior Policy Number field will now be required at Quick Quote time.  Only the seven digit policy number is needed for entry (the policy symbol is not required). 

This will allow the current insurance score to be used when quoting an existing Frankenmuth policy.  If a valid seven digit policy number is not provided, an edit message will appear.  The same entry adjustment will be available when entering a Home or Auto quote in your comparative rater.

If the Previous Carrier is something other than Frankenmuth Mutual Insurance, the Prior Policy Number field will function the same and only be required at Submission time.
