Frankenmuth Insurance is committed to writing mutually profitable Commercial Lines business.  As part of our on-going commitment to improving efficiencies, we are implementing a new protocol for quote submission.

Beginning January 23, 2012, Frankenmuth Insurance (FI) will consider for quote only new business entered into our on-line quoting and issuance system – iBIS.

By entering accounts into iBIS, you will receive priority consideration from Underwriting.

Additional benefits include:

·         Manual pricing available immediately on most accounts.

·         Coverages, limits and deductibles which can be amended as needed during the quote process.

·         Ability for Agency to modify pricing – subject to final company approval.

·         Quotes remain in the system until they are issued – allowing for quick updates.

·         Once an account is underwritten and approved – it is ready for issuance.  Simply enter the payment information and issue the policy.

Your Field Manager and Underwriter will ensure each member of your staff is fully trained on this easy-entry system.  They are also available to assist in the pre-qualification of accounts so you do not spend time entering information on accounts we will not write.  For many of you, data bridging options are available that can considerably cut entry time.

An outline of the process is shown below:

Applications received on iBIS:

·         These applications have priority when submitted for underwritten quote.

·         Underwritten quotes will be considered as first in and locked down for the agency.

Applications received other than iBIS:

·         Will not be considered first in.

·         For those received with a Federal Employer Identification Number (FEIN), the account will be assigned an iBIS number and forwarded to Underwriting for pre-qualification.

·         The Underwriter /Field Manager will pre-qualify the account and determine if it should be entered into iBIS by the agency.

·         If the account does not fit our appetite, the Underwriter/Field Manager would enter as a decline in the system, and you will be notified.

Note:  Applications received without FEIN will be sent back without pre-qualification or consideration until FEIN is supplied.

We are confident you will view iBIS as the preferred method of submitting your business to FI.
