As a result of the increasing threat posed by Hurricane Michael, Frankenmuth Insurance is suspending binding authority in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia as of 9 a.m. Eastern Time on Oct. 9, 2018. The complete list of states currently under this binding authority suspension include:

  • Alabama
  • Florida
  • Georgia
  • North Carolina
  • South Carolina
  • Virginia

This binding authority suspension will remain in effect until further notice and applies to new business as well as increases in limits or additions of coverage on in-force policies. Home Office approval is required to override the suspension. We will continue to monitor the situation and inform you when the suspension is no longer in effect. Please contact your field manager or underwriter with any questions regarding this binding authority suspension.
