Frankenmuth Insurance is pleased to announce that Shawn Hoose has been appointed as the Commercial Lines Underwriting Supervisor for the Great Lakes Regional Team. If Shawn’s name sounds familiar, that’s because he was an Underwriter for the Team from 2006 through 2014, and we couldn’t be more pleased he has decided to return to our region.

Prior to joining Frankenmuth as a Personal Lines Underwriter in 2004, Shawn worked in an independent agency.  Shawn transferred to Commercial Lines in 2006 and was later promoted to Senior Commercial Lines Underwriter in 2011.  In early 2014, Shawn transferred once again to the Michigan Team to serve as a Field Manager, and this combination of experience made him the perfect candidate for the Great Lakes’ Supervisor position.

Shawn earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from University of Michigan – Flint and has obtained his Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and Associate in Insurance Services (AIS) designations.  Currently, Shawn is pursuing an Associate in Reinsurance (ARe) designation.
