Providing relief for those impacted by the ongoing wildfires in Georgia.
In accordance with updated guidance from the Georgia Insurance Commissioner, temporary relief measures remain in place for policyholders in the following counties:
Appling, Atkinson, Bacon, Berrien, Brantley, Camden, Charlton, Clinch, Coffee, Echols, Glynn, Jeff Davis, Lanier, Lowndes, Pierce, Ware, and Wayne.
These relief measures are currently in effect through June 7, 2026, unless otherwise adjusted based on changing conditions or additional guidance.
During this time:
- Policies in the impacted counties will not be canceled for non-payment.
- Late payment fees will not be assessed for policyholders in the impacted counties.
Please note that this is not a waiver of payment, but rather a temporary grace period intended to provide impacted policyholders with additional time to manage their accounts and maintain coverage during wildfire-related disruptions.
For policyholders in Georgia counties that were included in the original April 22, 2026, moratorium, but are not included in the updated 17-county directive, standard billing and delinquency processes resumed effective May 8, 2026. Applicable notices, cancellations, and late fees may now apply in accordance with normal billing procedures.
Once the updated moratorium ends, standard billing and delinquency processes will resume for the impacted counties, including applicable notices of cancellation for non-payment and late fees.
