Commercial Package Policy
Our Commercial Package Policy (CPP) can best be characterized as a finely tailored suit. Each policy is custom fit for each of our commercial clients. Appropriate coverage can be selected from a wide range of options and enhancements and assembled into one comprehensive policy.
The flexibility of our CPP allows us to provide protection for a broad range of businesses. We service policyholders in mercantile, service, processing, office, manufacturing, wholesale and other non-residential fields.

Commercial Umbrella
Commercial Umbrella policies work exactly as their name implies.
They provide a layer of protection above that afforded by underlying policies.
When losses exceed the coverage limits of standard Business Auto, Business
Protector or Commercial Package policies, Commercial Umbrella policies
take effect to cover the balance (subject to policy limits and other conditions).
A great deal of coverage is provided through a Commercial Umbrella policy for a comparatively minimal premium. Coverage limits typically range from $1 million to $10 million.
Most businesses eligible for one of our underlying policies are eligible for a Commercial Umbrella policy. Contact your local Frankenmuth Insurance Independent Agent should you need the broad protection of a Commercial Umbrella policy.
Employement Practices Liability Insurance
Employment Practices Liability Insurance (EPLI) provides defense and indemnity protection against claims arising from the employer/employee relationship. The policy shields employers—plus all current, former, and prospective employees, directors and officers, even the corporate entity—against a broad spectrum of employment-related claims.
EPLI from Frankenmuth Insurance is available in two forms, standard and enhanced. The standard form covers those amounts a policyholder is required to pay by reason of a wrongful employment practice—discrimination, harassment and wrongful termination. The enhanced form adds retaliatory discharge, misrepresentation to an employee, libel or slander, invasion of privacy, wrongful discipline and more to the list of covered charges. Frankenmuth Insurance automatically provides $100,000 of standard EPLI coverage with most every Business Protector and Commercial Package policy. Available coverage amounts range from $100,000 to $1,000,000.
The average legal bill for a groundless EPLI suit is $20,000. Add potential damages and increased defense costs for lengthy suits and it becomes clear—the tab for an EPLI suit can be financially ruinous. Frankenmuth Insurance provides an inexpensive form of protection for this rapidly growing hazard.
Equipment Breakdown
Businesses are acquiring and increasingly relying on equipment
and technology to perform and maintain operations. Such reliance significantly
increases the likelihood of a system failure. Thus, we offer Equipment
Breakdown coverage as the solution to this potentially disastrous situation.
Equipment Breakdown insurance covers…
- The cost to repair or replace damaged equipment
- Expenses incurred to limit down time or hasten restoration of operations
- The value of products or materials spoiled as a result of a breakdown
- Business recovery expenses
Covered equipment includes…
- Electrical distribution systems
- Heating & Cooling systems
- Telephone systems
- Electronic equipment
- Refrigeration
Clearly, every business employs at least one of these systems and is
thus susceptible to loss. As a result, Frankenmuth Insurance includes
Equipment Breakdown coverage with every Business Protector policy. It
can be attached to our Commercial Package Policy at an attractive
Worker's
Compensation
Workers’ Compensation Insurance is highly regulated by state governments,
and regulations vary greatly by state. Some states retain sole authority
to write Workers’ Compensation Insurance while others allow insurance
companies to provide coverage according to strict rules.
Workers’ Compensation programs are typically comprised of four basic parts—Workers’ Compensation Insurance, Employers’ Liability Insurance, Other States Coverage, and Voluntary Compensation Insurance. Each provides coverage for claims filed against employers when their employees are injured or killed as a result of an employment-related accident or disease.
Commonly, state governments control the policy forms associated with each part above. Thus, competing insurance companies provide the same basic coverage in most states. Frankenmuth Insurance differentiates itself with years of experience, superior claims service and competitive rates.
